Shabbar Abbas, the father of the young Saman, killed at the age of 18 in the countryside of Novellara on 30 April 2021, burst into tears in the courtroom upon hearing the story of the anatomopathologist Cristina Cattaneo and the other experts on the death of his daughter and upon seeing the images of the girl's body.

In fact, in recent days the definitive report relating to the autopsy was filed and today the report was held before the Court of Assizes of Reggio Emilia. Saman was strangled and then buried in the grave on Strada Reatino, where she was found after a year and a half of searches. The hole was dug with shovels compatible with those found in the Campagnola house of uncle Danish Hasnain and his two cousins, all three at the dock.

Saman's father is accused of being, together with his wife who is still at large, the mastermind of his daughter's crime, killed because she rebelled against an arranged marriage.

A civil party in the trial for the killing of the young Pakistani girl is also Saman's boyfriend, assisted by the lawyer Barbara Iannuccelli: «We are very ready for this demanding final rush. True justice is tiring by definition and we do it for Saman, killed at 18 and buried under two meters of earth together with all her dreams", said the lawyer.
