Tragedy in Moneglia, in the province of Genoa.

A 30-year-old rock climber died after being hit by a wave while he was retrieving a rope that had fallen on the rocks.

Based on an initial reconstruction, the man was on the wall with his partner, busy climbing a cliff in the area called Valletta. Below them the sea was very rough. And suddenly a wave came, which made him fall into the water.

The 30-year-old attempted to fight against the force of the sea, but was sucked into the current, only to disappear underwater.

Then the alarm went off and the rescuers intervened on the spot, who were only able to recover the companion of the rock climber, a 28-year-old, who was stuck on the wall, under shock, bringing her to safety.
