Roberto Guerrisi killed in a fight between families, he wanted to defend his daughter from the abuse of her boyfriend

A story of abuse and a man killed defending his daughter from her boyfriend who beat her .

This is behind the murder that occurred yesterday in Pontirolo Nuovo , in the province of Bergamo, in front of Domenico Bonfiglio's Db Car.

Rocco Modafferi, 58, was arrested this morning on charges of killing Roberto Guerrisi, 42, with two gunshots at point-blank range . The alleged murderer is the uncle of the boyfriend of one of Guerrisi's three daughters . The man is in prison in Bergamo, where he will be questioned by the investigating judge in the next few hours. Two other relatives of his are being investigated on charges of personal aiding and abetting.

The Carabinieri of Treviglio, who are investigating under the coordination of the deputy prosecutor Giampiero Golluccio, have interrogated throughout the night several people belonging to both Guerrisi's family and the family of Domenico Bonfiglio, to whom belongs the boyfriend of one of Guerrisi's three daughters, who are 15, 18 and 22 years old.

Both families are of Calabrian origin and have lived in the Bergamo area for years. According to the reconstruction , Guerrisi yesterday went to the warehouse of Db Car, a car dealership owned by the Bonfiglio family, because he wanted to protect his daughter from the abuse suffered by her boyfriend .

A heated argument ensued involving 6-7 people and Rocco Modafferi, uncle of the boyfriend of one of Guerrisi's daughters, allegedly shot the man: two shots from a .22 caliber pistol fired at point-blank range in the face . Attempts to revive him, initially by a relative of the victim and then by the 118 personnel who arrived on the scene with a medical car, were in vain.

The images from the video surveillance cameras, which filmed the crime scene, are essential to identifying the perpetrator of the crime. Meanwhile, the search for the murder weapon continues, both in the Bonfiglio house, above the shed where the crime took place, and in the surrounding fields.

Modafferi, with no criminal record, lives in an apartment in a building adjacent to the crime scene and is the brother of the mother of the boy involved in the dispute between the two families and who, according to the reconstruction, allegedly used violence against Guerrisi's daughter.
