Thieves in the villa of Andrea Bocelli in Versilia.

Unknown people have entered the tenor's house in Vittoria Apuana, a fraction of Forte dei Marmi (Lucca), recently purchased but currently uninhabited.

The alarm was not in fact immediate, the service personnel only noticed the break-in the next day when, after noticing an open door, objects were found on the ground.

It is also unclear whether anything of value was taken away, an estimate is underway.

The property, still to be restored and furnished, is one of the historic residences in the area.
