Oliviero Toscani hospitalized in Cecina: he is in serious condition
The photographer has been suffering from amyloidosis, an incurable disease, for two years

Oiviero Toscani 's conditions are worsening : the 82-year-old photographer has been hospitalized since today in Cecina , in the province of Livorno.
He was admitted to the emergency room and then to the intensive care unit due to a worsening of his condition, which was already marked by amyloidosis , an incurable disease.
The illness had been made public by the photographer himself in a long interview given last August .
"There is no cure," he explained then. "I lost 40 kilos in a year." "Living like this doesn't interest me," he added.
Today, Toscani also met with Eugenio Giani , President of the Tuscany Region, who was visiting the health facility as part of the redevelopment works.
