Nine-year-old boy hit and killed by a train

A 9-year-old boy died when hit by a train in Borgo Revel, a hamlet of Verolengo, in the province of Turin.

According to initial information, it is a Moldovan child who escaped from a community that had raised the alarm for searches in the afternoon.

His body was seen on the tracks by the driver of a regional train on the Chivasso-Alessandria line. The little boy, therefore, could have been hit and killed by a convoy that had previously passed on the line.

Investigations by the railway police are underway to clarify the incident.
