The man arrested for the murder of Maria Denisa Adas Paun, the woman who disappeared in Prato on the night between May 15 and 16, confessed.

Thirty-two years old, Romanian, security guard, said he did it because she - version yet to be verified - had blackmailed him by threatening to reveal to his wife that they had paid for sex if he did not give her 10,000 euros.

The man first strangled her in the room of the residence in Prato, then decapitated her and put her head in a garbage bag. Paun's remains were then locked in a suitcase and transported by car to the place where they were found, in the countryside of Montecatini Terme (Pistoia).

In the same investigation, the prosecutor's office carried out another search of an Italian, as a third party not under investigation, who appears to have been in contact with the victim between 10:09 PM and 11:36 PM on May 15. This person appears to be present in the residence during a period that partly coincides with the period in which the person was arrested.
