Rain of insults (even homophobic) to the public and concert "in fits and starts", between outbursts and numerous attacks on those present : «You've fucked up ***, I have feelings, cogl***i. I am a character, go see Marrakesh, Fedez... fro*** me**a». This is the balance of Morgan 's show which yesterday evening arrived at the archaeological park of Selinunte (in the Trapani area) to hold an original concert-lesson entitled " Segnali di vita e di arte ", dedicated to Franco Battiato.

That of the artist and frontman of Bluvertigo was the last appointment of the Festival of beauty, after the lessons of Massimo Cacciari and Umberto Galimberti. The paid show started almost 40 minutes late and after playing some of his songs, the artist's ire was unleashed as someone from the audience allegedly accused him of being "off topic". "You've had enough now - Morgan replied, standing on stage addressing the audience - you've had too much, pearls before swine it's called, if those lunatics don't go away I won't sing".

Then turning to someone in the audience who had invited him to play: "Go to your house, you don't deserve the show, you're annoying, you've come to piss off". After the heated verbal confrontation, Morgan sang a couple of songs by Battiato, before concluding the show.

But the apologies were not long in coming. The day after the show, the singer-songwriter breaks his silence on what happened: " We can all make mistakes and I made a mistake in using an unfortunate expression that I myself don't like , I'm not proud of having used it and, if you can, accept my apologies ». The message entrusted to a story shared on his official Instagram account. « I'm not homophobic - he continues - and I condemn those who have no respect for others, beyond the categories to which we feel we belong, it is the human being that we owe respect and, therefore, my reaction last night was unjustifiable, a very bad fall for which I sincerely apologize".

He also explains the reason for his reaction, which «was provoked by having felt hurt in my soul because I had just given my all in an improvised song in that wonderful and moving place. Asking me for a cover of Battiato as if I were a jukebox, after one of the most inspired performances of my life, literally killed me ».
