The Commission of Inquiry into the Moby Prince disaster will hear the prosecutors of Livorno and Florence, the latter as head of the Tuscan DDA, in relation to investigations into the accident of 10 April 1991 in front of the port of Livorno in which 140 people died, including 26 Sardinians.

The president of the Commission Pietro Pittalis, Sardinian deputy of Forza Italia, reports: «We want to understand, within the limits of the secrecy of the investigations, if they can report elements useful to the activity of the commission that can be acquired».

Pittalis had previously said that the Livorno prosecutor's office "did not grant permission to view the Gdf report and has not yet decided whether to request a referral to trial or the archiving" of the judicial investigation into the case.
