The economic-financial police unit of the Guardia di Finanza is carrying out searches, display orders and inspections of IT systems in the offices of the Fondazione Milano-Cortina 2026 and of a company in Orvieto which has been assigned the digital services for the event.

The operation - coordinated by the Milan prosecutors Francesco Cajani and Alessandro Gobbis and by the deputy Tiziana Siciliano - is also extended to the offices of Deloitte, which took over from the Umbrian company. The charges are corruption and impaired liberty against three people, none of whom are current directors or employees of the Foundation.

The three suspects, according to what has been learned, are the former CEO of the Milan-Cortina Foundation, Vincenzo Novari, a former manager of the foundation and the former legal representative of Vetrya, now Quibyt, which was awarded the task for the development of digital services for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics.
