Martina Carbonaro, the 14-year-old killed by her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend Alessio Tucci, who confessed to the murder that took place in an abandoned farmhouse in Afragola, in the province of Naples, did not die immediately but after a long period of agony.

This is the result of the autopsy on the girl's body, which confirms what was written in the order of the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Naples North: when Tucci abandoned her in the farmhouse and covered her with debris, the girl was perhaps still alive. The histopathological and toxicological tests will have the final say on the issue, which is decisive for the young man accused of murder and concealment of a corpse.

In the meantime, Tucci has been transferred from the Poggioreale prison in Naples to another penitentiary in the region. Security reasons were the basis for the decision. The request presented by his lawyer, Mario Mangazzo, was accepted, but the location of the prison where Tucci was taken was not revealed. "What he told me," the lawyer said after meeting his client, "is that he did not find a favorable climate upon his arrival and was moved to a quieter ward."

But in addition to reasons to protect Tucci (for fear of violent actions by other inmates) there was also another episode linked to moments of tension that involved his relatives. "The family members - explains the lawyer - were harassed on the occasion of the delivery of a bag with clothes to their relative outside the prison" in an area where there are relatives of other inmates.
