The prosecutor of Genoa is investigating - at the moment against unknown persons - on the death of Totò Di Gangi, mafia boss of Sciacca, found lifeless on a railway track in the Ligurian capital.

Extremely loyal to Totò Riina and detained to serve a sentence of 17 years, he was released from the Palermo court of appeal because he was very ill, after an appraisal attesting to his cognitive deficits.

According to initial investigations, he was run over by a train. At the moment the Police Headquarters excludes that it could have been a murder and is inclined towards a misfortune.

Based on a reconstruction of what happened, the man - 80 years old, recently released from Asti prison - was made to get off a train bound for Southern Italy at the Genova Principe station because he was found without a Green Pass. Then he walked into a tunnel where he was hit by a freight convoy.

Then the discovery, the alarm and the start of the investigation, with the prosecutor who also ordered the autopsy.
