Luxury cars from abroad and resold in Italy at advantageous prices, thanks to tax expedients, false documents and front names.

Six people were arrested by DIA, and are now under house arrest, because they are accused in various ways of criminal association, aggravated fraud against the state, ideological falsehood in public deed and usury, elements aggravated by transnationality.

The measures in the context of the development of the “Platinum Dia” operation, which last May had led to the arrest of 33 people, including Italy, Germany, Spain and Romania.

The registration in Italy was handled by two women, the owner and the employee of an auto practice agency. Also involved in the investigation are the owner of a car sales and rental company in Calabria and Milan, and the person in charge of collecting cars in Germany.

Two people of Calabrian origin residing in Upper Bavaria were also arrested.

Kidnapped, charged to the suspects, half a million euros.
