An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 was recorded last night at 2:34 two kilometers from Frisanco , in the province of Pordenone.

The quake had its epicenter at a depth of 12 kilometers and was felt very strongly in the area, awakening people and sowing fear. Several people took to the streets terrified especially for the duration of several seconds.

According to some residents of the area - among whom the memory of the 1976 earthquake is always vivid - for years there had not been such a clear and above all long-lasting shock .

In the last 30 days, 11 earthquakes have occurred within a radius of 30 kilometers around the epicenter area, Frisanco, between the municipalities of Arta terme, Tolmezzo to the east and, on the opposite side, in the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park. The strongest of the earthquakes recorded in recent days had a magnitude of 3.4. This was reported by the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (Ogs) of Trieste.
