Nicodemo Gentile, lawyer of the brother Sergio Resinovich, reports. An "anomalous discrepancy" between what appears in the telephone records and what was stored on the woman's phone was reportedly detected during technical checks on the device.

In particular, between 11.24 and 13.06 on December 14, 2021, when Liliana went out and left her phone at home, the records show activity of which there is no trace on the phone. The call at 8.22 on the same December 14 between Liliana and her friend Claudio Sterpin would also have been deleted . The lawyer therefore asked to further investigate the technical investigations on the device.

In the time slot indicated (from 11.24 to 13.06) the records "report activity of which there is no trace on the phone , despite the fact that, at the request of Sergio Resinovich's defense, an exhaustive copy called Full-File-System had recently been made". According to the defense of the victim's brother, this would be a matter of "fundamental importance". The lawyer also asked to obtain "a complete copy of the device, also in order to clarify what happened on the occasion of the phone call at 10.56, incoming on the woman's phone and to understand when the call at 8.22 on 14/12/2021 (between Liliana and Sterpin) was deleted, which, in fact, appears in the records but not in the call log of the woman's phone ".

Liliana Resinovich, 63 years old from Trieste, disappeared from her home on December 14, 2021, leaving and vanishing into thin air. Her disappearance was reported by her husband Sebastiano Visintin, who said he had greeted her on the morning of December 14 at 7:45, when the woman was about to leave to join the Sterpins at home and help him with the housework. On January 5, 2022, the woman's body was found in mysterious circumstances in the woods of the former psychiatric hospital of San Giovanni in Trieste: wrapped in two black bags, with her head placed in two plastic bags held by a drawstring .
