Two hundred and thirty-eight migrants landed in Lampedusa after patrol boats from the Guardia di Finanza and Frontex rescued four boats.

On board were 43 to 78 so-called Bangladeshis, Egyptians, Eritreans, Pakistanis, and Sudanese, who reported having set sail from Zuwara and Zawiya in Libya . One of the last 78 to disembark was transferred from the Favarolo pier to the outpatient clinic due to respiratory problems.

The other groups were instead taken to the hotspot in the Imbriacola district where, at present, there are 258 guests.
