It would have been a denied cocktail that triggered the violent quarrel at the height of which, on the night between 29 and 30 October, the 24-year-old Claudio Lasala was killed in Barletta, in the province of Bat.

This is what we read in the documents related to the arrest carried out by the carabinieri at the disposal of the Prosecutor of Trani against the two alleged attackers, the 20-year-old Michele Dibenedetto and the 18-year-old Ilyas Abid, both from Barletta and accused of voluntary murder with the aggravating circumstance of futile reasons.

At the base of the "violent struggle" there was "a pretext that arose between Dibenedetto and Lasala, linked to the claim of the former to be offered a drink by the latter".

THE RECONSTRUCTION - The victim therefore refused to pay the 20-year-old a drink, and so already inside the bar a fight broke out during which they would hit each other "repeatedly with punches, slaps and kicks".

The discussion continued outside the room, where Lasala would have been joined by Dibenedetto and Abid. The latter, before leaving the bar, would have taken a knife from the counter, taking it with him outside the room, "incited" by his friend, and there, while the violent quarrel between the two continued, he would have hit the 24-year-old at the abdomen.

A stab wound that was fatal for Lasala.

THE TORCHLIGHT - The death of Lasala has thrown the city into despair, where yesterday a torchlight procession was organized to remember him: "No one has the right to take someone's life. No one has the right to take a child from their parents and Claudio, surely now you will be in a better world, your will to live and your smile will remain forever in our hearts ", the writing on the banners.

"This city needs a signal - said Claudio's aunt, Annamaria - it must wake up because it has fallen into decay and what happened to my nephew who is a son, a brother, a friend, cannot happen to others. boys. Our children must be able to go out in the evening and be calm, they must absolutely not be prey to such bad and evil people, because violence leads to nothing ". Claudio, a few days ago, had participated in a competition for students in the Guardia di Finanza: "My nephew - concluded the woman - was an exceptional boy and all the dreams of his life have broken. We hope that justice is done and above all that something changes in this city of ours ".
