Italy hit by rain: in Bologna the flood wave overwhelms a car, a boy dies
Orange alert in 5 regions, yellow in 13Over 80 millimetres of rain fell in Emilia-Romagna in 4 hours , after days of bad weather , flooding a large part of the city of Bologna and the surrounding area.
During the night the flood also affected Ravenna, Modena, Reggio Emilia and the rain made the situation critical on all the roads of the Apennines .

And while the acting president of the Region, Irene Priolo, reports poor service and invites people to follow the mayors' instructions to the letter , especially regarding impassable roads and evacuations from the upper floors of buildings, the mayor of Bologna Matteo Lepore has spread an appeal via social media not to go out into the streets , not to use the car and to go up to the upper floors if you are near streams.
For today and based on available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has in the meantime issued a new warning for adverse weather conditions which foresees, from the early hours of today, the persistence of intense and widespread precipitation in Campania, Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria, in particular in the Ionian areas. Orange alert , in particular, in southern and Ionian Calabria , in a large part of Emilia-Romagna , in large areas of Veneto and Basilicata and in the south-eastern areas of Lombardy . Yellow alert in Campania, Puglia, Abruzzo, Molise and in areas of Marche, Calabria, Basilicata, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and the autonomous province of Bolzano.
