This year it's Milan's turn to celebrate the millionaire win from the Italian Lottery . In fact, ticket F 306831 was sold right in the Lombard capital, giving its owner five million euros . Last year it was sold to Bologna. The second prize, worth 2.5 million, went to Campagna, in the Salerno area, while the third - worth 2 million - went to Albuzzano, in the province of Pavia . The last two first category prizes, worth 1.5 and 1 million euros respectively, were sold in Roncadelle, in the Brescia area, and in the town of Montescudo-Monte Colombo, in the province of Rimini .

This year the Customs and Monopolies Agency awarded a total of 210 prizes for a total value of 17.4 million euros . Of these, 15 (five more than in 2022) were worth 100 thousand euros, while the remaining were worth 20 thousand. A total prize of 120 thousand euros was reserved for the retailers from whom the winning tickets were purchased.

Three first category prizes out of five went to Lombardy, last year the same fate happened to Lazio.

Sardinia smiles with a second category prize, 100 thousand euros, won with ticket P 192527 sold in Quartu . And two third category prizes, worth 20 thousand euros: one won in San Sperate (ticket D 090300), the other in Olbia (E 151182) .

The 2023 edition of the Italian Lottery made Italians rediscover the passion for the game, with overall ticket sales reaching 6.7 million units, marking a +10% compared to the previous year (+8% in Sardinia) .
