A 14-year-old boy died after feeling unwell while in class. The tragedy occurred this morning in Fano (Pesaro and Urbino), at the Olivetti Institute.
The student, who was in the first year of high school, had left the classroom to go to the bathroom saying he felt ill. When he returned, he collapsed on the floor unconscious, under the terrified eyes of his classmates.
The boy was moved to the courtyard and on site, in addition to the parents, the 118 paramedics arrived and attempted to revive the fourteen-year-old even with the defibrillator, but every attempt was in vain.
Some classmates, disturbed by the tragedy that had taken place before their eyes, returned home with their parents. The Carabinieri were on site to carry out the necessary investigations and reconstruct what happened. From what we understand, the boy suffered from congenital heart disease discovered three years ago and for which he was being treated.
