The super anticyclone has arrived and will probably last a long time and guarantee mostly sunny weather in all regions.

A gigantic hot bubble will bring high temperatures for the period starting today, for example in the Alpine valleys it could reach 16-18 degrees, as well as in Sardinia.

Between Thursday and Friday, however, the super anticyclone will lose some of its strength because the winter storm present in Scandinavia and Poland will decrease in latitude, touching Italy and at the same time an African vortex will rise towards the Ionian Sea. These two situations will have two effects: the first (the polar storm) the entry of very strong Mistral winds around Sardinia and on the Tyrrhenian Sea with rain on Calabria (possible gusts of up to 100 km/h); the second some rain on the Ionian sectors.

Coinciding with the entry of the Mistral, the Alpine borders will see heavy snowfall in the form of a storm up to zero meters and the Valpadana instead will be affected by the foehn wind, with an associated increase in temperature, even significant.

Finally, the super anticyclone will strengthen again, giving Christmas Eve, Christmas itself and even Boxing Day with good weather and a pleasant climate during the day.
