Horror in Milan , where a 54-year-old man, Piero Luigi Landriani , was stabbed to death in his home .

The man was allegedly attacked in an apartment in a public housing building in via dei Panigarola 8, in the Corvetto district, on the south-eastern outskirts of the city. A neighbor raised the alarm and alerted the emergency services, but there was nothing they could do for the man.

The Flying Squad investigates the case.

According to reports, Landriani was shot numerous times, mainly in the chest . From the first investigations it also seems that before the attack there was a furious argument with some foreigners , described as North Africans, also in the apartment. The police are interviewing a number of people at the police station.

The street where the building is located is known for drug dealing, even if at the moment one would not lean towards one track rather than another, as regards the motive.
