A 59-year-old homeless man was found dead at dawn today in a gallery in Udine, with evident signs of aggression on his body .

The agents of the Scientific Police, the Flying Squad and the Mobile Squad intervened on the spot, with the coroner. The alarm was raised at 5:30 by a young woman returning home. Resuscitation attempts were useless: there was nothing to be done for the man . The agents are viewing the footage from the cameras in the area and collecting testimonies to identify the perpetrators of the attack. According to what has been learned, the victim usually found shelter for the night inside the tunnel.

Investigators are working on the case , no leads have been excluded . For now, however, it seems there are no eyewitnesses or people who have heard suspicious noises or voices. The prosecutor's duty magistrate also arrived on the scene to coordinate the investigation.
