Tragedy in Cesano Maderno, in the province of Monza and Brianza.
A 14-year-old girl was killed when she was hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks at a level crossing with the barriers down.
Initial reconstructions exclude the voluntary gesture: it seems that the young girl was wearing headphones for music and did not notice the arrival of the regional train headed to Milan.
At the same point several similar fatal accidents have occurred , so much so as to spark controversy from the citizens of the Brianza municipality of Cesano Maderno. The agreement for the construction of a railway overpass, between Ferrovie Nord and the municipal administration, appears to have been signed just under a year ago.
