He stabs his wife in the street and runs away: arrested

Shock this afternoon in the Carmine district of Martina Franca, in the Tarantino area, where a 48-year-old was stabbed by her husband in the middle of the street . The injury apparently occurred during an argument between the two spouses inside a Renault Clio.

The victim, originally from Cisternino, was hit in the neck and chest. Shortly afterwards the attacker fled in another car, losing track of him. He was traced to the municipality of Cisternino, in the province of Brindisi. The investigators immediately focused their attention on him after having collected some testimonies and having viewed the images of video surveillance cameras in the area.

Investigations are underway to establish the motive for the attack. The woman was hit with several stab wounds, none of which, however, hit vital organs. She is now hospitalized in Taranto hospital, but her condition is not serious.
