A 31-year-old woman is hospitalized in very serious conditions after being rescued from her home, on the outskirts of Mantua, with a throat wound caused by a knife blade.
The alarm was given by her partner, who reported that he found her in bed, bleeding.
According to reports, the two had gone out for dinner last night with another couple, but during the evening they had quarreled. Then she had returned home to and her partner, upon returning, would have found her injured.
The 31-year-old was then rescued and transported to the Carlo Poma hospital in Mantua, where she is assisted in the intensive care unit.
The police have opened an investigation to shed light on the incident.
The 34-year-old was placed under interrogation. No leads are excluded, but according to what transpires it could be an episode of self-harm or a suicide attempt.
