23 years old, originally from Cagliari, Sabrina lives on the street, together with her 29-year-old partner, outside the San Donato Milanese station. On 2 December she gave birth at the Melegnano hospital but, she explained to the operators, she left the baby there – born premature – because she fears for the health of the baby who could not survive in the conditions in which the couple lives, under a tent set up at the less worse, in the cold and frost.

Thus, after the ten days for recognition, the adoptability procedure begins.

Sabrina and Michael have been in Milan since April, they don't have documents, and to get them back, they explained, they would have to go back to Cagliari but they can't pay for the trip . Not only that: they don't want to stay in Sardinia, they have no one to help them.

Behind it is a history made up of many stages: Germany, Holland and then Chiasso. The Sardinian girl also has health problems, but she doesn't intend to spend the nights in a dormitory because she doesn't want to be separated from her partner.

The pregnancy was discovered late, when she could no longer resort to an abortion.

Their story , reported by the local press, has aroused a lot of solidarity, especially for that child who will perhaps never know his mother.
