The statement of a hotel receptionist and a photo. These are the first concrete elements that testify to the presence of Giacomo Bozzoli in Spain. The 39ebbe from Brescia, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his uncle Mario thrown into the oven of the family foundry on 8 October 2015 in Marcheno nel Bresciano, has been on the run since the day of the final verdict of the Cassation.

From the south of Spain, precisely from Marbella, the Iberian police informed the Italian authorities that the cameras of the Hard Rock resort filmed Bozzoli on June 30, one day before the final sentence. In the images you can see the man from Brescia with his little son. Not only that: a receptionist at the luxury hotel would have recognized him among the customers. The identity card would have been registered on June 30th. Then the void.

The Brescia Prosecutor's Office has requested access to the hotel's video surveillance system through a letter rogatory, and is waiting to view the videos which demonstrate that Giacomo Bozzoli was actually the person who showed up at the resort. Because in light of the declarations of the 39-year-old's partner, "we were together in Spain until the moment of the sentence", the investigators had not hidden doubts about the real presence of the man from Brescia between 20 and 30 June. There were too many gaps and "I don't remember" in the story of Antonella Colossi, Giacomo Bozzoli's ever faithful companion, questioned by the Carabinieri on the very day of his return to Italy by train and who had it recorded that she " lost her memory due to the shock after having learned of the life sentence by looking at the internet from a hotel computer".

What is certain is the fact that the Maserati Levante registered to the 39-year-old passed through the license plate reader portals three times on the morning of June 23rd on the Brescia side of Lake Garda, then once in Spain, but the tinted windows prevent one from understanding with certainty who was on board at the time. "It was me, Giacomo and our son" the fugitive's partner stated in the minutes. But where did Giacomo Bozzoli go after June 30th when he separated from his partner and son who later returned to Italy?
