Carabinieri raid in Garlasco as part of the investigation into the murder of Chiara Poggi. Searches underway at the home of Andrea Sempio, in Voghera (Pavia), a new suspect for the femicide that occurred 18 years ago, and at his parents' home, in Garlasco.
This was learned from sources close to the investigation. On site are the Carabinieri of the Investigative Nucleus of Milan coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Pavia. The searches are coordinated by the Pavia prosecutor, Fabio Napoleone, by the deputy Stefano Civardi and by the pm Valentina De Stefano.
Andrea Sempio, 37, is being investigated as part of a new reconstruction of the murder of Chiara Poggi, which took place in Garlasco (Pavia) on 13 August 2007. The victim's ex-boyfriend, Alberto Stasi, who is currently on semi-liberty, was definitively convicted of the murder in 2015 .
