The prefect of Rome, Matteo Piantedosi, has signed in these hours an ordinance with precise safety provisions in view of the G20 scheduled in the capital from 30 to 31 October. All school complexes, of every order and degree, are closed for teaching and any other activity from 4 pm tomorrow to 24 am on Sunday.

The security system is extensive: at the borders the controls have already been activated, an area of maximum attention for 10 square kilometers has been created in the EUR district, where the summit is held. And the city center will also be armored.

The protocol focuses mainly on “no Green pass” demonstrations and there are more than a thousand municipal police officers placed to guard the streets of the neighborhood, plus other law enforcement officers to prevent marches.

The most sensitive places are considered to be those where the delegations will stay, the symbolic points of the city and the main shopping streets, as well as the routes that the heads of state and government will cover during the two days of the G20.

Investigators keep an eye on the sites and social channels routinely used by no vax and no Green pass to launch their protests.
