Three years' imprisonment for two maintenance workers and employees of Rfi and the acquittal of their instructor.
This is the sentence issued in the court of Lodi, with abbreviated rite, for the derailment of the Frecciarossa 9595 Milan - Salerno train which took place on 6 February 2020 in the Lower Lodigiano area, in correspondence with an exchange between Livraga and Ospedaletto.
Two train drivers were killed in the accident and 32 people were injured.
This was decided by the investigating judge Francesco Salerno who also indicted 5 defendants who chose the ordinary procedure. In the proceeding, the charges for various reasons concurred in multiple manslaughter and train crash.
