«A usurper» , «a Jesuit Freemason», «everyone knows that he is not the Pope but nobody does anything»: those who utter these words against Francis, publicly, in a homily in church, are Don Ramon Guidetti, parish priest of San Ranieri in Guasticce, in the province of Livorno.

It was December 31st. The priest would like to thus remember the death of Joseph Ratzinger who "never renounced the Petrine munus", he says in the same homily, "because he knew what would happen". The excommunication from the bishop of Livorno, Monsignor Simone Giusti, arrives shortly. In the deed signed by the chancellor of the diocese, Don Matteo Giavazzi, it is explained that Don Guidetti "has publicly committed an act of a schismatic nature, refusing submission to the Supreme Pontiff and communion with the members of the Church subject to him" . The priest was therefore suspended 'a divinis'.

"I am serene and calm" but "amazed at the speed with which the guillotine cut off yet another head." This is how Don Guidetti commented on the provision that affected him.
