«Illegitimate and instrumental» behavior that «violates the contract». This is how Chiara Ferragni responds to Cartiere Pigna Spa which broke off relations with the influencer out of "respect for the company code of ethics".

In a note, Fenice srl, the company that manages the Ferragni brands, «disputes Pigna's violation of the existing contract and the legitimacy of the unilateral interruption of commercial relations».

The illegitimacy of the decision is «aggravated by the company's choice to communicate to the public, even before Fenice, the termination of the partnership relationship - continues the note -; a choice that is evidently instrumental and contrary to the duty of good faith in the execution of the contract. In this context, Fenice reserves the right to act in the most appropriate places to protect its interests".

«Furthermore - concludes the press release - Fenice considers the reference to the code of ethics to be instrumental also in consideration of a statement made to the media on 23 December 2023 by the CEO of Pigna, who had defined the collaboration as "profitable and satisfactory". Fenice also communicates that similar protection initiatives will be taken against subjects who have carried out behavior in violation of existing collaboration contracts and therefore of Fenice's interests".
