A large-scale police operation targeting widespread crime has been conducted across several provinces. 384 arrests and 655 reports have been filed. Approximately 1,400 kilos of drugs have been seized. The operation, aimed at combating drug trafficking, sometimes through cannabis shops , was carried out with the assistance of the Flying Squads, coordinated by the Central Operations Service. Over 95,000 people were identified, including 16,701 foreigners and 10,848 minors. 35 kilos of cocaine, 1,370 kilos of cannabinoids, one kilo of heroin, 41 firearms, 80 bladed weapons, and over €300,000 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, were seized.
Several social media profiles have been identified and are currently being checked for content that appears to be related to criminal activity, with a view to potentially reporting them to the relevant judicial authorities for blocking.
Targeted checks were also carried out on the sale of hemp products in cannabis shops. Over 300 shops were inspected and five seized in three different cities.
Three people were arrested and 141 people were reported, including owners or managers.
Nearly 300 kilos of cannabinoids were seized, and initial analyses revealed they had the characteristics of narcotics.
