This morning, in the "Paolo Borsellino" courtroom of the Court of Marsala, before the single judge Giusi Montericcio, the trial that sees the former prosecutor Maria Angioni accused of false information to the public prosecutor.

The case is part of the bis investigation into the kidnapping of little Denise Pipitone, who disappeared in Mazara del Vallo on 1 September 2004, when she was just under 4 years old.

Prosecutors Roberto Piscitello and Giuliana Rana support the accusation against Angioni. The only activity carried out in today's hearing (the first of the postponement to next January 10) was the judge's decision not to admit the cameras of a Mediaset group TV into the courtroom. It will not be possible to film during the stages of the trial, but only for 5 minutes before and after the hearings.

The prosecution was opposed to the cameras, not repenting their public interest, while the defense of Angioni (lawyers Stefano and Andrea Pellegrino) did not oppose.

"I have faith in this process - said Maria Angioni (currently a labor judge in Sassari) after the conclusion of the hearing - because it will help to restore the truth. We have a list of texts that will help put together the various pieces. Only in this way will we understand which it was the fate of the little girl, whose disappearance is a vulnus, a wound, for the republic, for the state ”.

"I have the utmost confidence in the judiciary - he continued - of which, moreover, I am a part. Each one, in this matter, according to his prerogatives, has done his duty. In the case Denise, whose investigations I also coordinated when I was prosecutor in Marsala, where I arrived, it seems to me at the end of September 2004, there are still details to be investigated, such as that of the car driven by a woman who on the day of the kidnapping was seen proceeding at insane speed, even bumping into a sidewalk, with on board a little girl waving her hand. In the car the police of Ris detected a boy or girl's footprint. And if it is not easy to detect the DNA, at least it is possible to detect the age of the girl who was in the car. then, I acted as a hitter, hoping that the hunters would go into action. "

"I was happy when I learned that the carabinieri of Trapani (at the request of the Public Prosecutor of Marsala) have started new wiretapping", he then clarified. "And even if now the new investigation has been archived, it is not certain that it can be restarted again if other elements come out. It is not only the massacres of the Republic that deserve attention, but also the disappearance of a child is a reason to go to the end ".
