There is a terrible turning point in the investigation of Fatima, the three-year-old girl who died in Turin after falling from the balcony of a building.

The mother's partner was stopped by the police for voluntary murder with possible intent. "The elements and testimonies collected in the early investigative phases - explains the Turin Police Headquarters - have allowed a summary possible reconstruction of the fact and an initial legal qualification, which will be subjected to scrutiny by the judge in the subsequent phases of the procedure".

Azar Mohssine, 32, was brought by handcuffed agents to the Prosecutor's Office in Turin to be questioned by prosecutor Valentina Sellaroli: he was wearing a red and black checked sweatshirt.

The man denied the accusation and bursting into tears spoke of an accident admitting only a distraction: "I feel guilty for what happened: I was not careful", his words. Mohssine lives on the fifth floor of the building and is the companion of the child's mother, who lives on the fourth.

For me - he added - that little girl was like a daughter. I loved her so much. And she wanted some from me too. "He also explained that last night he hadn't drunk that much and that he" lost his sanity "when he realized that the little girl had fallen.

Just yesterday morning, the 23-year-old was sentenced to eight months in shortened rite for possessing about fifty grams of hashish.

Only he was at home with the little girl in via Milano when the little girl flew down from the fourth floor. Admitted to the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital, the child underwent a very delicate surgery but did not make it.
