Alarm during the night in a condominium in Cervignano, in the province of Udine , where 3-2 people were poisoned due to a fire.

The fire broke out in the garages of the building, where a motorbike and a car were engulfed in flames, but the smoke quickly spread to the entire structure , causing inconvenience to the residents, both adults and children, who remained trapped inside the building and took refuge on the upper floors waiting for the arrival of the firefighters.

None of the intoxicated people are in danger of life.

On site, a helicopter, a medical car and three ambulances from local hospitals. A 10-seater and a 12-seater Red Cross van were also used, made available to transport less serious patients.

All the people involved were examined at the Croce Verde clinic in Cervignano, which is located exactly in front of the building where the fire broke out. The 32 patients were then transported to the hospitals in Palmanova (1 yellow code adult and 8 green ones), and Monfalcone (12 green ones, 1 green pediatric patient aged 14). Of these, 5 were transferred to Gorizia with the CRI van after an initial visit to the emergency room. Other people were transported to the Cattinara hospital in Trieste (a yellow code with a heart attack in progress and 2 green ones), to the hospital in Udine (1 green adult and 3 green pediatric patients, including children aged 4 months, 11 and 12 years), to Latisana (2 green adults and 1 green pediatric patient). Another four evacuated patients spent the night at the CRI headquarters in Palmanova.

The fire was put out in a few hours by the firefighters who arrived with numerous vehicles.

The Carabinieri have launched investigations to determine the causes of the flames.
