Night of fear and madness in Sezze, a center in the province of Latina .

A girl was injured, fortunately not seriously, by a gunshot, which was not aimed at her , fired by a man who shortly before had participated in a riot in the street which broke out between two groups for reasons yet to be clarified, all made up of foreign citizens.

The Carabinieri of the Latina company, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office, are investigating what happened shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Based on what was reconstructed by the investigators, the fight took place on the street in the Ferro di Cavallo area between a dozen people of Albanian and Romanian nationality, all aged between 20 and 40 . The two groups, also in the grip of alcohol fumes, came to blows perhaps over one word too many. After leaving the site of the first argument, the "protagonists" of the brawl found themselves near a bar.

In front of the club the two groups started arguing again and at that point one of them, as an act of retaliation, pulled out a gun and fired a shot.

However, instead of reaching the target - a member of the rival group who had participated in the fight - the bullet ricocheted off the girl sitting at a table with some friends, among the dozens of people who crowded the place.

After the shot there was a general stampede: the girl, a twenty-year-old Italian, was immediately rescued and transported to the Santa Maria Goretti hospital in Latina where she underwent surgery to remove the bullet that had remained stuck between the foot and the ankle . The surgery was a perfect success and the doctors gave her a 30-day prognosis.

An investigation is now underway to try to trace the identity of the man who fired the fire.
