Gianluca Maffeis died, the young man hospitalized in serious condition after being attacked by his younger brother. The two were last Saturday in a disco in Seriate (Bergamo) when Gianluca, 31, allegedly had an argument with a customer. Lorenzo, 26, had intervened to stop him and convinced him to return home to Mozzo.

In their home they continued to argue, Lorenzo told the investigators that his older brother beat him even putting his hands around his neck. At that point he defended himself but Gianluca would have gone into cardiac arrest. The 26-year-old attempted to revive him while waiting for help, then the rush to the hospital. The young man never recovered.

Now the brother is under house arrest on murder charges.
