The bad weather emergency continues in nine Italian regions , today in yellow alert status for rain and precipitation.

The alarm in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Lombardy, Puglia and Veneto. But the most serious situation is the one recorded in Tuscany, in the provinces of Livorno and Pisa. Right here in Montecatini Valdicecina the flood of the Sterza torrent, swollen by the storm of the night, overwhelmed the house where a family of foreign tourists was staying.

According to what was confirmed by the rescuers, the mother, father and grandfather were saved by the firefighters. They had taken refuge on the roof of the house. The grandmother and a 5-month-old child are missing.

Firefighter teams have been working since last night, also using dogs and divers to search.

Meanwhile, rescue operations continue in the area for the damage caused by yesterday's bad weather.
