The baby girl who was hit by a car today in Castelfiorentino while she was in a pram pushed by her mother while crossing on a pedestrian crossing is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis at the Meyer Trauma Center in Florence.

The driver of the car, a 39-year-old woman, immediately stopped to provide assistance and raise the alarm. Subjected to alcohol and drug tests, she tested negative.

The baby, who is two months old, is not in danger of dying.

The municipal police reconstructed the dynamics of the accident.

There was also a near-tragedy in Rome yesterday afternoon where a 78-year-old man and his 7-year-old grandson were hit by a car near Piazza Bologna. Both were taken to hospital in serious condition.

A 40-year-old man was driving the car and stopped to help. He underwent a blood alcohol test and tested negative. Investigations are underway by the local police of the II Sapienza Group to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident.
