The girl did not take her own life as initially thought, but was pushed down . The injuries found are incompatible with suicide, according to the conclusions of the autopsy carried out by the coroner Giovanni Cecchetto, of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the University of Pavia.

For the girl's death , her 15-year-old ex-boyfriend is in prison, accused of voluntary homicide . A witness said he saw Aurora desperately clinging to the railing and to life while the young man beat his hands with his fists to make her fall . Aurora had numerous fractures, all attributable to the fall from a height. But the lethal ones would have been to the head. Lesions that would have caused immediate death.
