Threats of hacker attacks on the Italian healthcare sector. This is what appears on a poster issued by "Groove cyber crime group", a criminal association that has called together other similar groups to respond to the actions carried out by the US agencies against "Revil", a Russian gang specialized in ransomware and held responsible for last May attack on the Colonial Pipeline in the United States. The intent is to hit the US and its allies.
In the manifesto of "Groove" the Italian healthcare sector is explicitly mentioned as one of the possible targets and, given the prominent position of the group of cybercriminals, the threat is "evaluated very carefully". Hence the invitation of the National Cybersecurity Agency to increase the IT security measures to prevent any hostile actions by suggesting adequate countermeasures to counter the possible attack.

The attacks on the US and its allies solicited by the "Groove group" would therefore be a retaliation for the action against "Revil" whose "happy blog" site was in turn hacked and taken offline in recent days with an action of "Counter-attack" promoted by the US The site was used to extort money from victims of "ransomware" by letting out sensitive data.

In July, Revil also compromised the American software company Kaseya.
