Yesterday evening , lightning struck a sixteen-year-old boy who was camping with a scout group on Mount Livata, in the Subiaco area of Lazio.
The boy was taken in serious condition to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where he is in intensive care. The area was hit by a violent thunderstorm in the past few hours , and further rain is forecast for the area today.
Emergency medical services and the Carabinieri of the Subiaco branch intervened. Two other young men who were with him were also taken to the hospital , but their condition is not serious.
