Therefore, on behalf of the Milan Prosecutor's Office, the Carabinieri of the Milan Provincial Police Department executed a precautionary warrant against a 19-year-old Ecuadorian man, held responsible for two incidents of sexual assault against two minors.

The investigation, conducted by the Milan Porta Monforte Operational Unit, confirmed an assault in Bussero (Milan) on August 12th, against a 15-year-old girl, and one in Milan on September 19th against a 16-year-old girl.

Investigators' attention stemmed from the identical modus operandi used during the two assaults: the suspect identified a minor alone at an M2 subway station (Gorgonzola and Crescenzago) and from there began a discreet tailing of the victims, following them until they reached their homes, where the girls, once they opened the door, were sexually assaulted. It was thanks to details present in both assaults that he was identified: he was riding an electric scooter with bright orange accents; and he was wearing a green baseball cap, which, it turned out, he commonly wore, even to work. These details allowed the perpetrator to be identified with certainty.

The 19-year-old went to work wearing the same clothes he was attacked in, clothes that were found at his home. He is now under house arrest.
