«When the wise man points to the Moon, there are those who look at the finger . This is the case of one of the main majority shareholders of the Solinas Council, the former President of the Region Ugo Cappellacci , who today launches a not at all objective and specious attack on the current regional executive regarding some inconveniences of territorial continuity, whose model bears the signature of the centre-right. Only for a question of speed and the need to ensure the service did the current executive have to urgently approve a tender based on the one expiring".
This was stated by the Transport Councilor Barbara Manca after the statements of the Sardinian senator from Forza Italia, who argued with the Todde council precisely on air continuity.
«It is good to reiterate – replies Manca – that everyone, from the regional government to the Transport Department, has been working intensely for just over two months to patiently remedy, in the best possible way, the chasms created by the centre-right in the last 5 years . It so happens that the exponent of Forza Italia uses a moment in which Ita Airways (the carrier that currently covers the routes in territorial continuity between Rome and Sardinia) is "sold out" to assign all the responsibilities to the Todde Council of the transport system. All alluding to an alleged discrimination suffered by residents when it is actually a problem that affects all types of passengers. If we find ourselves in this situation - continues the councilor - it is because the notice drawn up by the Solinas council did not take into account data and statistics on real traffic flows".
«In the meantime, while the centre-right tries to occupy the public debate in a way that is anything but constructive - adds the representative of the Todde Council - 79 new flights have been arranged from 6 July to 31 August, created to compensate for the disasters they have committed . The issue of the booking system, whose communication strategy can give rise to wrong interpretations, such as that of alleged discrimination between residents and other passengers, has already been brought to the attention of Ita Airways. In fact, the offer of flights for residents has always been the same as for other passengers and we would never have tolerated anything different. In short, there are those who try to solve problems and those who are much better at forgetting their mistakes."
«This - concludes the councilor - is an arbitrary attack and not without inaccuracies. We firmly reject Cappellacci's attacks and suggest he reflect more on the 5 years wasted by the centre-right majority to ensure Sardinian citizens a regime of territorial continuity that is fair, efficient and convenient for all. We are working on a tender capable of avoiding this type of problem at the source and all the others experienced by Sardinian citizens up to now."
