Cagliari's first international break of the season begins on the final day of the transfer window. Deals close at 8:00 PM, and the Rossoblu complete their defense with a double signing: Zé Pedro and Juan Rodríguez. This morning, the two center-backs, arriving from Porto and Peñarol respectively, underwent medicals at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome, which were completed in the early afternoon. They will be in Sardinia this evening, with the contracts expected to be signed within a few hours.

The deals for Zé Pedro and Rodríguez (the latter joining a long list of Uruguayans at Cagliari) are permanent. Both deals were finalized on Saturday , giving Fabio Pisacane what he's been looking for in defense. Barring any surprises, they'll be the last additions of the transfer campaign, although a late signing isn't ruled out if any players leave .

In this sense, the name that could bring a new midfielder to Cagliari is that of Marko Rog . He was supposed to go to Fatih Karagümrük, but the deal stalled at the last minute due to a lack of financial agreement. The Croatian midfielder, with one year remaining on his contract, is still a possible departure for the Rossoblu and could do so even after the transfer window closes in some countries where signings will be possible after today. Matteo Felici is leaving, expected in Serie B at Venezia, and the position of Alessandro Di Pardo is also being evaluated.

For Cagliari – after the 95th-minute defeat in Naplesthe restart is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon , with a friendly match on Friday at 4pm in Buddusò against the local team newly promoted to Eccellenza.
