It was a special evening for Daniel Maldini, who turns twenty-five today: he scored the opening goal in Cagliari-Juventus with just 20 minutes to go . Maldini, with his fourth consecutive goal after those against Lecce, Atalanta, and Udinese, broke up a melee in the penalty area after his first shot was blocked, receiving the ball again from Mendy.
Yanis Massolin makes his full debut. The midfielder, who was loaned from Inter with an option to buy (and a counter-purchase) at the end of the transfer window, will start in the 8:45 PM match, replacing Jacopo Fazzini. This is the only change from Fabio Pisacane's expected starting lineup, which otherwise confirms nine-tenths of the starting lineup, plus Yerry Mina, who will also serve as captain, with Alessandro Deiola only on the bench. The Rossoblù are looking for another impressive result after a splendid start to the season with four wins in the first five matchdays. The Unipol Domus will be sold out.
Up front, Paul Mendy is his usual center forward, the second-highest scorer of the season with one goal in the league and one in the Coppa Italia. Adam Obert is available and starts in defense.
