Cagliari have made a number of changes as they face Frosinone at 5:00 PM, hoping to secure a spot in the Coppa Italia round of 16 against Napoli. Yesterday, Fabio Pisacane announced that Giuseppe Ciocci (his first minutes of the season), Zé Pedro, and Semih Kılıçsoy would all start , but the Rossoblu's changes aren't limited to these three. The most notable is the impressive return to the starting lineup of Marko Rog, who was supposed to leave for Turkey at the end of the transfer window but his move fell through. He now returns to the starting lineup after a very long period of nearly five years marked by serious knee injuries. He will be joined in midfield by Luca Mazzitelli and Nicolò Cavuoti.
Michael Folorunsho, Yerry Mina (who turns 31 today), and Adam Obert were left out of the squad due to workload management, along with the injured Zito Luvumbo (who will attempt to return against Inter on Saturday), Nicola Pintus, and Boris Radunović. Captain Leonardo Pavoletti, who hasn't played since May (recovery surgery on his left knee after relegation) and was also on the bench on Friday against Lecce, is likely to be included in the second half. Alongside the Turk, Gianluca Gaetano and Gennaro Borrelli (the latter a former player) will start up front.
