Cagliari are looking for a solid result in Bergamo against Atalanta, a team in third place. To achieve this, Davide Nicola is fielding an extra midfielder, Alessandro Deiola, given the absence of Gianluca Gaetano who remained in Sardinia due to a knee problem and was not included in the list of players called up . Florinel Coman, the new name who scored a decisive goal on his debut six days ago with his third touch in a rossoblù shirt, will start from the bench: Mattia Felici is on the left.
Cagliari will therefore use a 4-3-3 formation, as they face Atalanta with three of the four players signed by the Bergamo team in the summer : Michel Adopo in midfield (with the aforementioned Deiola and Antoine Makoumbou), Nadir Zortea high on the right and obviously Roberto Piccoli up front. The other former player, José Luis Palomino, will start from the bench, as will Nicolas Viola and Zito Luvumbo. No other surprises in the Rossoblu starting lineup, while there are plenty in the Nerazzurri: Éderson and Marten de Roon are out in midfield, with former player Ibrahim Sulemana (first start of the season, just his sixth appearance) and Mario Pašalić playing. Also out are Berat Djimsiti, the other ex Raoul Bellanova and Charles De Ketelaere, all due to their commitments in the Champions League where Gian Piero Gasperini's team will have to overturn - on Tuesday - the 94th minute defeat against Club Brugge which came from a more than questionable penalty .
These are the official lineups for Atalanta-Cagliari : kick-off at 15:00, referee Matteo Marchetti from the Aia section of Ostia Lido. On unionesarda.it the live broadcast of the championship preview, on Radiolina the link-up starts at 14:30 with the radio commentary by Lele Casini from the Gewiss Stadium and – to follow – the post-match with all the comments .
